In order to enrich the cultural life of students, improve the artistic literacy and aesthetic ability of engineering students, and pay attention to the development of students' mental health, the School of Marine Science and Engineering organized the Fingertip Flowers, Butterflies Dance into Paintings aesthetic education handicraft activity in the one-stop student community of Building 60 on April 29, so that students can feel and convey beauty through artistic creation, and go to a dialogue between the soul and art.

With the theme of creating dried flower decorative paintings, the activity aims to guide students to feel the beauty of nature through artistic creation and receive aesthetic education in hands-on practice. In the activity, the students first used oil pastels to draw the outline of the butterfly, showed the gorgeous texture of the butterfly's wings through color superposition and gradient techniques, and then carefully selected various dried flowers for decorative collage. The tutor instructed the students to pay attention to the composition, color matching and layering of the picture, and integrated the basic principles of artistic creation into practical teaching.

There was a strong creative atmosphere at the event, and the students either focused on drawing or exchanging techniques with each other. In addition, the activity specially set up a soul story link, allowing students to write down their creative feelings on the back of the card, and several students gave feedback on the pressure released when focusing on creation, breaking through the mindset of engineering students.

This aesthetic education activity is a practical activity for the college to promote the construction of a one-stop student community, and it is also a related measure for the integration of aesthetic education for engineering majors. The event not only provides a platform for students to create art, but also builds an emotional connection through co-creation. In the future, the college will continue to carry out characteristic activities of engineering aesthetic education, build a platform for students to show themselves, communicate and interact, relieve students' psychological pressure, and help students develop and thrive in an all-round way.
