Spring is a companion, and the feathers are young. On April 26th, the School of Marine Science and Engineering's Meet Friends with Ball, Teachers and Students on the Same Stage Badminton Friendship Tournament was held in the school gymnasium, and nearly 100 teachers and students gathered on the court to enhance friendship with sports as a link and gather strength with competition as a bridge. After several rounds of fierce competition, the event ended successfully with cheers.
This competition sets up four major events: men's singles, women's singles, mixed doubles, and mixed doubles, which not only retains the fierceness of the competition, but also highlights the fun of teacher-student interaction. On the field, the student players smashed sharply to show their youthful spirit, and the teacher team calmly defended to interpret the wisdom of experience; In the singles event, the players switched between attack and defense quickly, alternating between high and far balls and small balls in front of the net; In the mixed doubles session, the teachers and students cooperated tacitly, and the tactical layout was intertwined with laughter, which vividly interpreted the friendship of both teachers and friends. In the end, 2023 undergraduate Gu Yuhan won the men's singles championship, 2024 undergraduate Ma Tianyi and Huang Yihan won the mixed doubles championship, and Xu Tao won the women's singles and teacher-student mixed doubles championship.
This competition not only made me feel the joy of sports, but also learned the spirit of perseverance and cooperation from the teachers. Zhang Liuyang, a participating student, said with emotion. This competition is a vivid practice of the college to promote the integration of five educations, teachers and students compete on the same stage to break the boundaries of traditional roles, shorten the distance between teachers and students, build a harmonious education ecology, and show the spirit of unity and progress of Haike people. After the event, teachers and students spontaneously formed a badminton exchange group and agreed to carry out training on a regular basis, so that the enthusiasm for sports continued to heat up.
