In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the eight provisions of the Central Committee, learn and carry forward the red culture, and enhance the cultivation of party spirit, on May 25, the Party Branch of the Water Conservancy Engineering (Master's Degree) of the College of Marine Science and Engineering organized a research and practice activity at the old revolutionary site with the theme of Pursuing the Red Footprints and Continuing the Original Mission. With the core of revisiting history and remembering the mission, this event led the members of the party branch to a number of historical sites in Shanghai, felt the great spirit of the revolutionary ancestors, and deepened everyone's cognition and understanding of the party's history.
The first stop of the event was a conference site in Shanghai. It is the site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the birthplace of the history of the Communist Party of China. At the site of the first congress, everyone listened carefully to the narrator's detailed introduction to the background of the congress, important resolutions and revolutionary process, and deeply cherished the arduous course of the ancestors who fought for the cause of the liberation of the Chinese nation. Through the visit of this station, everyone deeply experienced the difficult process of the Communist Party of China from scratch and from weak to strong, and also strengthened the belief in unremitting struggle for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
The second stop is Sinan Academy, which is full of strong cultural atmosphere and is part of Shanghai's history and culture. Sinan Academy was once a place for many revolutionary ancestors and cultural celebrities, especially before the founding of New China, where many young talents carried out revolutionary activities and discussed social development issues. Here, through visits and exchanges, party members further deepened their understanding of China's excellent traditional culture and revolutionary culture.
Next, the branch visited the editorial office of the New Youth, which is an important position of the New Culture Movement in China and the location of the editorial office of the magazine New Youth. As one of the birthplaces of the May Fourth Movement, the New Youth Editorial Office has witnessed the great history of China's ideological emancipation and cultural revolution. Everyone feels the greatness of the power of young people here, and the revolutionary spirit inspires every young party member to inherit the legacy of the martyrs and bravely shoulder the responsibilities of the times.
Finally, the party members came to the former residence of Sun Yat-sen, Sun Yat-sen is China's great revolutionary pioneer, his revolutionary spirit and feelings for the country and the people inspired generation after generation, through the understanding of Sun Yat-sen's life deeds, feel his perseverance, dedication to the future of the country and the nation of noble spirit.
Through this red culture tour, the party members of the branch not only reviewed the revolutionary history, enhanced the sense of historical responsibility and mission, but also provided spiritual motivation for future work and study. In the future study and work, we will continue to carry forward the red culture, never forget the original intention, keep the mission in mind, and contribute our strength to the realization of the Chinese dream.
