On May 19, the monthly academic salon hosted by the 24-level Youth League General Branch of the School of Marine Science and Engineering was held in the one-stop community service center of the college. This issue focuses on Ecological Restoration Practice from the Perspective of Land-Sea Integration and New Structural Health Monitoring and Evaluation Technology for Port Engineering. The salon adopts the model of case study program design.
During the event, the participants put forward preliminary ideas such as optimal design of artificial reefs and construction of port engineering monitoring network through discussions, and exchanged views on the difficulties in technology implementation. In the free exchange session, graduate students in the direction of marine engineering and safety and environment discussed the balance between artificial intervention and natural restoration, forming a multidisciplinary collaboration intention.
The salon was problem-oriented, stimulated innovative thinking through interdisciplinary dialogue, and provided a practice-oriented academic exchange platform for 24-level graduate students. Participants said that the informal discussion format effectively promoted technology sharing and collaborative inspiration, and the follow-up will deepen cooperation around specific topics and promote the transformation of research results into engineering application practice.
