On May 13, 2025, Feng Daolun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Dean of the School of Marine Science and Engineering of Shanghai Maritime University, and his delegation visited the 3TREES Coatings R&D Center for investigation, and were received by Miao Ning, General Manager of 3TREES Industrial Coatings, and Chen Lihua, Director of Human Resources.

General Manager Miao Ning welcomed the research team and introduced the basic situation of 3TREES Coatings R&D Center. He said that the current demand for domestic substitution of coatings in offshore wind power, ship antifouling and other scenarios is urgent, and he looks forward to breaking through the technical bottleneck through joint research by schools and enterprises.

Dean Feng Daolun systematically introduced the overview of the college and the landmark achievements made this year, and hoped that the two sides could effectively connect the 'last mile' from the laboratory to industrialization through the joint construction of a joint laboratory for offshore coatings, the joint research on marine and offshore antifouling and anti-corrosion coatings, and the implementation of the dual employment mechanism for young teachers and enterprise engineers.

Deputy Secretary Dong Chaoqun said that this visit is an important practice to implement the national policy of deepening the integration of industry and education, and the two sides will establish a regular exchange mechanism to form long-term cooperation in technical research, talent training, and achievement transformation.

Chen Lihua, Director of Human Resources of 3Trees, introduced 3Trees' relatively complete college student promotion and training system, and proposed that 3Trees will set up special internship positions in the future, and outstanding interns will be given priority to obtain employment qualifications, so as to achieve a seamless connection of study, internship and employment.

After the meeting, the college team visited the 3Trees Product Culture Exhibition Hall, the Paint Museum and the Lacquer Technology Digital Exhibition Area.

Senior experts from 3Trees Research Institute and relevant personnel from the Department of Marine Materials of the College participated in the survey.
