On the afternoon of April 24th, a special study and teacher - student symposium of the Sub - committee of the Working Committee on Caring for the Next Generation in the School of Marine Science and Engineering was held in Conference Room 408 of the school. He focused on explaining the one important goal and the two - step approach to building a strong education country proposed in the Outline, and deeply analyzed the core frameworks such as the three major attributes, the four foundations of a strong country, the five major relationships, the six important characteristics, the seven major tasks, the eight major systems and the nine important measures. He emphasized that education should be based on the political, people - centered and strategic attributes, and expounded on the understanding of a strong education country.  After the interpretation, Secretary Wang Weiyi put forward clear and specific requirements for the work of the Sub - committee of the school. He pointed out that as the sub - committee of a secondary college in a university, it must have a broad vision and profound insight, have strategic height, historical depth and global breadth, accurately recognize the situation and trend, and grasp the risks and opportunities. Standing at the new starting point of the new era and the new journey, the Sub - committee of the school should take the study and implementation of the spirit of the Outline as an important task and effectively implement it in all aspects of work. Specifically, first, it is necessary to study deeply and understand thoroughly, and improve the standing. The study of the Outline of the Plan for Building a Strong Education Country should be closely linked to the study of the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the National Education Conference in 2024. We should firmly grasp the political, people - centered and strategic attributes of education, answer the questions of for whom to cultivate people? What kind of people to cultivate? On the original basis, we should strengthen the work research, continuously explore new work ideas, innovate the work mode, and help the steady development of the school's Working Committee on Caring for the Next Generation. One student said that the creation of a new pattern of fostering virtue through education proposed in the Outline has pointed out the direction for the growth and success of young students. Another student shared his/her observations and thoughts from the perspective of integrating AI into student education and construction, especially mentioning the many benefits of using AI - intelligent evaluation before checking the similarity of graduation theses, which provides new ideas for improving the quality of education and teaching. There was also a student who suggested that the resources of the five - veteran groups both inside and outside the school should be further utilized and organically integrated with the Party and League activities of the college to enhance the college's brand image and popularity.
