In order to further strengthen the construction of academic style, promote experience sharing, and play a leading role as role models, on the afternoon of April 23, the School of Ocean Science and Engineering successfully held a study abroad experience sharing and exchange meeting in a one-stop student community. In this event, Ye Qiuyu, who successfully applied to Nanyang Technological University, and Tian Ye, a student from Tokyo University of Marine Science, were invited to share their own experiences on the preparation plan, application strategy and experience of studying abroad. Counselors Lei Mengyu and Peng Yujie attended the event.

At the sharing meeting, Ye Qiuyu systematically introduced the whole process of studying abroad application from the aspects of major selection, material preparation, application time planning, etc., and provided practical suggestions. Tian Ye focused on key aspects such as interview skills, language test preparation strategies, application letter writing, English resume optimization and tutor contact skills, and analyzed common problems with examples to help students improve their application competitiveness.

In the interactive session, the participating students actively asked questions, and the two sharers gave patient and meticulous answers to questions such as the writing of recommendation letters and the improvement of competition experience, and provided personalized guidance for the students.

The atmosphere of this sharing meeting was warm, which not only stimulated the enterprising spirit of students to pursue excellence and break through themselves, but also provided valuable experience reference for students who are interested in studying abroad. In the future, the college will continue to build a communication platform to help students clarify their career plans and broaden their international horizons.
