In order to deepen students' understanding of the overall national security concept and strengthen the responsibility of young people. On April 13, 2025, on the occasion of the 10th National Security Education Day, the 2022 class of the School of Marine Science and Engineering held a late roll call activity with the theme of National Security, Youth Protection in the Bangjian Lecture Hall, which was delivered by Mr. Zhu Wenwu, a part-time counselor of the faculty and staff.
Mr. Zhu Wenwu started from the origin of the overall national security concept and systematically expounded the 16 key areas covered by national security, including politics, military, economy, network and ecology. He stressed that national security is a top priority, and young students need to deeply grasp the core essence of taking people's security as the purpose and political security as the foundation, and take the initiative to integrate personal growth into the overall development of the country. Combined with the National Security Law of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Zhu explained in detail the seven obligations of citizens to safeguard national security, and called on students to start from their daily routines, strictly abide by confidentiality discipline, prevent network infiltration, resist erroneous remarks, and strive to be the first responsible person for national security.
In view of non-traditional security risks, Mr. Zhu Wenwu analyzed the concealment and harmfulness of hidden dangers such as network fraud, data leakage, and biosecurity through real cases in colleges and universities. In particular, he demonstrated how to identify suspicious information and behaviors, such as being vigilant against inducing topics in social media and illegal data collection by unfamiliar devices, and repeatedly emphasized the importance of the 12339 hotline of state security organs. At the event, a short warning education film There Are No Outsiders in National Security, We Are All Responsible Persons was also played at the event, revealing the urgency of safeguarding national security with real events.
This evening roll call deeply integrates national security education with daily ideological and political education, promotes the overall national security concept into the mind and heart in a vivid form, further builds a security barrier, and lays a solid foundation for cultivating young people in the new era with family and country feelings.
