On March 28, on the occasion of the 38th China Water Week, the Youth League Committee of the School of Marine Science and Engineering led young teachers and students to visit the water source of Shanghai to explore a new path of integration of industry and education, focus on the high-quality development of water conservancy, and unite the youth power of water security through on-site research, contract signing and co-construction, discussion and exchange, etc.
Under the leadership of the staff of the raw water company, the young teachers and students walked into the Jinze Reservoir area, all the way to the peach red willow green, Xianggull dotted, the surrounding ecological restoration has achieved remarkable results, and the storage and protection of ecological raw water are felt on the spot. Walk into the Jinze Water Source Exhibition Hall, and through a wealth of graphic and video materials, you can gain an in-depth understanding of the construction of the ecological water source of the Jinze Reservoir and the historical changes of the Shanghai water source. The digital and intelligent system vividly demonstrates the achievements of the construction of smart water. From the single water intake of the Huangpu River in the early days to the modern water supply pattern of simultaneous development of two rivers, centralized water intake, reservoir water supply, and one network dispatch, it vividly presents the features of Qingcaosha, Dongfeng Xisha, Jinze and other water sources, and witnesses the unremitting efforts of Shanghai water conservancy people to ensure the safety of urban water supply and practice the concept of people's city.
During the visit to the Lijia Reservoir Ecological Construction Laboratory and the Resource Utilization Practice Site, the young people carried out exchanges and dialogues on the ecological floating bed technology, which further enhanced their intuitive understanding of the cutting-edge technology and innovative practice of reservoir ecological construction and resource utilization.
After the visit, the Youth League committees of the two sides held a signing ceremony to build a platform for deeper cooperation in the field of water conservancy and water affairs in the future. Under the leadership of Zhang Chenjing, the head of the Youth League of the raw water company, the young people of both sides concentrated on studying the Excerpts of Xi Jinping's Discourse on Water Control and deeply understood the spirit of water control.
Focusing on the theme of promoting the high-quality development of water conservancy and ensuring China's water security, the young people of the two sides carried out warm exchanges. Yuan Rui, a young teacher of the Department of Environment, Chao Zhiming, Zhao Shan, and Zhang Wenbing, young teachers of the Department of Hong Kong and Shipping, shared their thoughts and experiences respectively in combination with their own research directions, and exchanged problems encountered in work practice with the technical staff of the raw water company, and collided with the spark of wisdom together.
The joint construction of schools and enterprises promotes the high-quality development of water conservancy, and the youth is promising to ensure the safety of raw water. This joint construction and learning activity not only enhanced the mutual understanding between the school and the enterprise, but also provided learning and exchange opportunities for young teachers, students and enterprise youth, enhanced their responsibility and awareness of cherishing water resources, protecting the ecological environment, and jointly guarding the life and water veins of the city, stimulated their enthusiasm for water conservancy, practiced youth responsibility with practical actions, and jointly contributed to the high-quality development of water conservancy.
