In order to guide students to establish clear academic and career planning goals, improve professional identity, and stimulate growth motivation, on the evening of March 30, 2025, the 2024 undergraduate students of the School of Marine Science and Engineering successfully launched a late roll call activity with the theme of Youth Continuation, Role Model Pilot. The evening roll call was presided over by the counselor Xu Ling, and Qu Xixian, an alumnus of the class of 2020, was specially invited to give a lecture to share the growth experience for the current students.
During the sharing process, Qu Xixian exchanged views on three aspects: self-understanding, multi-dimensional development, and improving information collection ability. Based on his own experience, he encouraged students to deeply understand themselves, explore their personal strengths and interests, understand their strengths and weaknesses, and accurately grasp their self-positioning. Adapt to changes and continuously expand diversified development paths; Improve the ability of information collection and analysis, eliminate the information gap, recognize the industry and professional characteristics of schools and colleges, make good use of the platform, and lay a solid foundation for future development by studying and working in the maritime industry and field.
This late roll call activity not only provided valuable experience for the students, but also further enhanced their planning awareness and confidence to move forward. In the future, the college will continue to build more communication platforms to help students learn from the power of role models, bravely pursue their dreams, and write their own wonderful chapters
