In order to guide young people to practice the concept of ecological civilization and enhance their awareness of environmental protection, on March 19, 2025, the Youth League Branch of Class 221 of the School of Marine Science and Engineering held a group day activity with the theme of Youth Planting Green, Building a Beautiful Home Together in the one-stop student community, with the planting of tulips and sunflowers as the carrier to stimulate the sense of responsibility and mission of young students to protect lucid waters and lush mountains.
At the beginning of the activity, Yang Yuang, secretary of the Youth League, deepened the students' understanding of environmental responsibility by explaining the history and ecological significance of Arbor Day. Subsequently, the group learned the core connotation of Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization, and understood the concept of green development and the mission of youth. In the practical session, the students planted sunflowers and tulips by themselves, cultivating greenery with the patience of rooting downward, and realized the deep meaning of hard work and hope in planting. Each seedling not only carries the expectation of vigorous progress, but also embodies the determination to protect nature.
This activity integrates theory into labor practice, promotes heart education with greening, and guides young people to cultivate the concept of ecological civilization in practice. In the future, the Youth League branch will continue to follow up the growth of plants,so that the belief in environmental protection will continue on campus like a flower.
