Drinking water and thinking of the source of the alma mater, set sail for the dream of navigation. In order to popularize shipping culture, analyze shipping codes, help build a maritime power, and stimulate young students' professional identity and alma mater feelings, the Youth League Committee of the School of Marine Science and Engineering promoted the special practice of "Hometown Trip" in the social practice of winter vacation, and encouraged students to use the time to return to their hometowns during the winter vacation to return to their alma mater and hometown to carry out enrollment publicity.
In this special social practice, a total of 15 teams returned to their high school alma mater to carry out back-to-school propaganda activities, they carried forward maritime characteristics, linked with the actual situation of the college, introduced Haida to the younger students and popularized the shipping culture, sowed the "seeds" for the development of the future maritime power, and also strengthened the students' sense of identity and responsibility for the school and the profession, and cultivated the spirit of loving and honoring the school.
The Sailing Xianghai Practice Team launched a questionnaire survey for the senior high school students in Zhijin County, Bijie City, Guizhou Province, aiming to understand the anxiety problems of the senior high school students.
The homecoming practice team returned to their high school alma mater in Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province, to bring a comprehensive introduction to Haida to the senior high school students. Through carefully prepared PPT, videos and on-site explanations, the publicity covered about 200 students, from the school's overview, professional characteristics, to campus life, so that the younger students could understand Shanghai Maritime University in all aspects and promote maritime culture.
The Zhangshu Maritime Culture Youth Pioneers went to Zhangshu Binjiang Middle School to share their learning methods, plan their study plans, and talk about university life with the students in the first and third years of high school. Through the QQ group long-term companionship program and the college entrance examination motivational video, they can better understand university life and clarify their future direction.
The Dream Enlightenment Practice Team returned to their alma mater, Shanghai Shibei Middle School, and through exquisite PPT, detailed brochures and in-depth on-site explanations, they not only improved the awareness of our school among the senior high school students, but also stimulated their enthusiasm for applying for the examination. The questionnaire survey was also used to count the experience and suggestions of the students of the alma mater on the content of the preaching, and presented them intuitively in a data-based way to evaluate the effectiveness of the preaching from multiple dimensions.
As one of the social practices with the theme of "Surging Blue Engine, Vast Youth Dream" during the winter vacation, the special social practice of "Haida Love, Hometown Tour" is not only publicity but also feedback, and the students of Haida have further enhanced their cognition of Haida while promoting Haida, which not only shared their experience with the younger students of their alma mater, but also exercised their own abilities, improved their awareness of gratitude to teachers and love the school, and handed out a shining Haida business card.
