In order to guide students to self-exploration, clarify personal growth goals, and provide strong support for their all-round development, on the evening of March 16, the 2023 class of the School of Marine Science and Engineering launched a late roll call activity with the theme of "Exploring Yourself, Establishing Goals, and Helping Students Grow Healthily" in the Bangjian Lecture Hall, which was delivered by Wang Liping, a part-time counselor of the faculty and staff.
Everyone is unique, and Ms. Wang is based on the growth of students, encouraging students to follow their hearts, insist on doing what they love and are good at, and at the same time pay attention to physical and mental health, and maintain a well-rounded and balanced development. Great oaks from little acorns grow. Ms. Wang emphasized the importance of goals for growth, and even if you don't have a clear goal for the time being, you can start with small things like exercising, reading, and helping others. Once you have a goal, you need to practice deliberately, break out of your comfort zone, and achieve self-transcendence.
This evening meal provided valuable growth suggestions and goal guidance for the students, stimulated the students' enthusiasm for being positive and pursuing excellence, and enabled them to strive to become young people in the new era with ideals, responsibilities and achievements.
