To help students alleviate anxiety, clarify their life plans, and face the challenges of the second semester of their sophomore year with a more determined pace, on the evening of March 2nd, the School of Marine Science and Engineering for the 2023 cohort held a themed event titled "Eliminating Future Anxiety: Breakthrough Battle for Life Planning in the Second Year" at the Bangjian Lecture Hall.
The second semester of sophomore year is a period of confusion in college career planning, with various information overload leading to self doubt, as well as pressure from family and social comparison, all of which are the root causes of students' anxiety. Based on the dynamic nature of career planning, counselors suggest that students design plans with minimal feasibility and establish feedback loops to gradually cultivate confidence and alleviate anxiety about the future. In response to the current trend of taking the postgraduate entrance examination, this article compares the postgraduate entrance examination data of the past three years, analyzes the possible reasons for the decline of the national admission line this year, and popularizes the knowledge of postgraduate entrance examination.
Through this program, students have gained a clearer understanding of the future, learned how to make reasonable life plans, and will devote themselves to the study and life of the new semester with a more positive attitude.
