On the afternoon of February 24, 2025, the Graduate Party Branch of Safety Science and Engineering entered the "one-stop" student community to hold the 2024 organizational life meeting and democratic evaluation party member conference. All party members of the branch attended the meeting, and Vice Dean Liu Jiahao of the college attended and guided the meeting. The meeting was chaired by branch secretary Xu Jie.
Before the meeting, members of the branch committee held a meeting to solicit opinions from the masses, conduct heart to heart talks, and prepare for the organizational life meeting. They strictly followed the steps and procedures for holding the organizational life meeting. All party members of the branch adopt a combination of centralized learning and self-learning methods to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the National Education Conference, and consolidate and deepen the achievements of party discipline learning and education.
At the meeting, the branch secretary Xu Jie gave a report on the work of the branch in 2024, and reported on the implementation of the rectification of the problems identified in the 2023 organizational life meeting. She summarized the work of the branch in the past year from the aspects of ideological construction, organizational construction, work style construction, discipline construction, etc. She conducted a comparative inspection on behalf of the branch committee members and took the lead in making personal analysis speeches. Subsequently, the comrades conducted personal self-evaluation from aspects such as ideology, study, work, and life, objectively examined themselves, and conscientiously conducted self comparison checks and profound analysis. Subsequently, a democratic evaluation of party members was conducted through anonymous voting to assess the party branch and all party members, ultimately resulting in the selection of six outstanding party members.
At the end of the meeting, Vice Dean Liu Jiahao provided guidance and comments. Teacher Liu affirmed the achievements of the party branch in the previous year, believing that the theme of this organizational life meeting was clear, the content was concentrated, the preparation was sufficient, the speeches were practical, and the branch members carefully carried out problem investigation and self-criticism, which improved the self-awareness of student party members and achieved good results. He pointed out that there is still a need to improve the insufficient depth of criticism and the low degree of connection with practical work. He hopes that the branch can continue to deepen its theoretical armed forces, improve its political position, increase its rectification efforts, ensure that the rectification is in place, strengthen its sense of responsibility, highlight its professional characteristics, and further strengthen its cohesion, influence, and combat effectiveness in the next step.
