On February 16, 2025, the College of Ocean Science and Engineering for the class of 2022 held a late naming ceremony at the State Construction Lecture Hall with the theme of Be your own hero in the new semester, led by counselor Lei Mengyu.
Teacher Lei Mengyu first reviewed the enterprise research and student employment destination research conducted during the winter vacation, and combined with the research data, deeply analyzed the current employment situation and industry development trends. He pointed out that with the deepening of the strategy of building a maritime power, the demand for talents in the marine field continues to grow, but at the same time, higher requirements have been put forward for the comprehensive quality of talents. Subsequently, based on his own learning experience, Teacher Lei encouraged his classmates to be brave enough to try and challenge, and to find a career development direction that suits them through continuous exploration and practice. Finally, Teacher Lei expressed sincere expectations to the students, hoping that they can cherish the next 3/8 of their college years, work hard to learn professional knowledge, actively participate in social practice, continuously improve their comprehensive qualities, and lay a solid foundation for their career development.
