In order to help students of the College of Marine Science and Engineering gain a deeper understanding of the current development status of their major and the employment prospects of related jobs, and to strengthen their professional identity and sense of responsibility to serve the country through scientific research in the industry. From January 7th to 10th, 2025, the college organized a practical team to visit places like Wuhu and Jingjiang for on-site visits and had in-depth exchanges with local staff. This enterprise research and practice was guided by Lei Mengyu, the employment director of the college, and a total of 11 students participated.
In "The Song of the Strong Military", one can appreciate the national defense sentiments of the century-old shipyard. On January 8th, under the guidance of MAO Nianzu, a teacher from the Human Resources Department of Wuhu Shipyard, the practice team visited the ship's auspicious water ceremony, the shipbuilding site and the exhibition hall. Subsequently, the practice team arrived at the Anhui Haizhi Equipment Research Institute of Wuhu Shipyard. Manager Yang Ping of the Company's Operations Management Department, Teacher MAO Nianzu from the Human Resources Department, and alumnus Chen Ziye extended a warm welcome to the visiting teachers and students. They provided a detailed introduction to the development history, basic situation, recruitment needs, and talent cultivation methods of Wuhu Shipyard. Through a discussion and exchange, they enhanced the students' understanding of the shipbuilding industry and related job positions. And they will discuss and exchange views on issues such as industry development, the current employment situation, and exploration of new businesses, to relieve students' employment concerns, clarify their career orientation, and further smooth out their career paths.
Explore the largest private shipyard in the country in front of the dual-fuel giant vessel. On January 10th, under the leadership of Gu Pengcheng, the head of the personnel department of Yangtze River Shipyard, the practice team visited the wharf vessels, production workshops and exhibition halls. At the symposium and exchange meeting, Minister MAO Hongzhao and technical experts introduced the group's concept of talent cultivation to the members of the practice team, shared their employment and career selection ideas based on their own work experience, and answered the questions raised by the students.
This enterprise research and practical activity not only helps students integrate theoretical knowledge with practical experience, but also plays a positive role in helping them understand their major and industry, shape their qualities and enhance their professional confidence.
