Where the steps can not be measured, the book can; Where eyes cannot reach, books can. In the era of electronic products immersed in daily life, sinking your mind to read a good book can calm the restless mind. In this year's study Style Construction Month, students of the College of Marine Science and Engineering carried out book sharing activities with the league branch as a unit to meet friends, understand life and explore the world.
From the perspective of social changes in modern literature, many students chose to share two books, Alive and Ordinary World, and realized the importance of striving and struggling in life, and to be a person who is meticulous in the spiritual world and down-to-earth in real life. Reading Western literary classics, the three students shared about One Hundred Years of Solitude, The Kite Runner and The Great Gatsby. In addition to telling stories, the students also analyzed the cultural and social background behind the texts.
The reading club provides a high-quality platform for students to share reading and exchange ideas, and cultivates Haike students to grow into new engineering talents with both professional knowledge and humanistic literacy.
