In order to further stimulate the academic enthusiasm and innovation consciousness of the graduate students of the school, and create a better academic atmosphere, the School of Marine Science and Engineering launched a discipline competition experience sharing activity in the 109 lecture hall. In this event, Ms. Wei Jinjin from Year 2 of Postgraduate Studies was invited to share her experience in the Challenge Cup competition.
Wei Jinjin first introduced the importance of participating in discipline competitions during the postgraduate period. Then, she took the Challenge Cup competition as the starting point to introduce the relevant contents of the competition to the students. She analyzed that such competitions focus on the core of innovation and entrepreneurship, from project gestate to road show defense, all aspects are closely linked, and innovation, commercial value, social significance and teamwork are all the criteria of the evaluation. Looking back at the competition track, Wei Jinjin emphasized several key points: First, in terms of topic selection, students can closely follow the national strategy and social hot spots, explore unique and feasible ideas, such as focusing on double carbon and rural revitalization, maintain close communication with tutors, and constantly optimize the direction of topic selection. Second, plan writing needs market research data ramming base, business model fine carving profit path, financial analysis anchoring development, social value enhancement, multi-pronged casting project hard power. Third, the defense link, the team needs to simulate the defense in advance, prepare enough detailed and solid arguments to respond to the judges' questions, eye-catching project name, bright value point, excellent product force and eye-catching PPT, are the key to achieve high scores.
This discipline competition experience sharing activity not only provides practical method guidance for students to participate in discipline competitions, but also enhances students' enthusiasm for participating in discipline competitions, and contributes an important force to creating a stronger academic atmosphere.
