In order to further implement the fundamental task of moral cultivation, consolidate the foundation of student management, promote counselors to expand their work vision, improve their work methods, promote common progress through discussion, and improve the effectiveness of education. On the morning of December 24, 2024, the College of Marine Science and Engineering held a student work discussion and exchange meeting. Wang Weiyi, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, and Dong Chaoqun, deputy secretary of the Party Committee attended the meeting, and all full-time counselors attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Dong Chaoqun, Deputy secretary of the College.
Secretary Wang Weiyi put forward three requirements to all students: First, to learn politics well, to cast the soul of politics, to constantly improve political judgment, understanding, and execution, and to internalize political thinking in the mind and externalize it in action. Second, to be good at learning new skills and technology empowerment, counselors should keep up with the pace of The Times, keenly grasp cutting-edge skills, strive to improve the accuracy of work, break the communication barriers between teachers and students with the power of science and technology, fully adapt to the actual demands of students, and escort the growth of students. The third is to learn to do people, benevolence education, ideological and political education is the essence of the soul to touch the soul, counselors to carry out ideological and political work need to realize the sublimation from people to benevolence, with the spring breeze to rain, moistening the state of silence, so that ideals and beliefs in the hearts of students.
Deputy Secretary Dong Chaoqun highly affirmed the hard work of all counselors. He stressed that counselors should adhere to the concept of seeking for strong boards and making up for weak boards in their work. He hoped that all counselors could look forward to the layout in the future, cultivate people's feelings, and continue to deepen their care and attention to students. Strengthen the coordination and interaction between various functional departments of the college, skillfully borrow the strength of eight parties, and enable the diversified expansion of work; Intensive research, focus on personal expertise, to create their own brand characteristics.
At the meeting, all counselors based on their own duties, combined with their respective grade work and special work, focused on students' ideological guidance, party and league work, mental health education, style of study construction, professional identity, enrollment and employment, recruitment and propaganda and other aspects of the discussion, in-depth sharing of work experience, profound reflection on work gains and losses, accurate analysis of existing problems, while planning the next step of work path.
The counselor work seminar and exchange meeting has clarified the direction and gathered strength. The College of Marine Science and Engineering will take this opportunity to continuously optimize the student work system, promote the professional and professional construction of the counselor team, and draw a new chapter of moral education and human development.
