Relying on the work of the union mentoring, pairing, the College of Marine Science and Engineering organized a Young Teachers Salon on December 10, 2024. This activity aims to carry forward the fine tradition of bringing the old with the new, passing on the torch, enhance the communication and cooperation between senior teachers and young teachers, help young teachers' career development, promote academic exchanges and team integration, and improve the overall teaching, research and student work level of the college. Wang Weiyi, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Feng Daolun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Dong Chaoqun, Deputy secretary of the Party Committee, Tang Chunqin, director of the Women's Work Committee, and representatives of young teachers attended the meeting, which was presided over by Liu Boyang, chairman of the union of the College.
Secretary Wang Weiyi pointed out that young teachers should be the defenders of casting the soul of education, the practitioners of cultivating the feelings of home and country, and the strikers who have the courage to pursue their dreams. At the same time, he affirmed the importance of training young teachers and stressed that we should continue to do a good job of mentoring, pairing activities to provide better support and services for the growth of young teachers.
Dean Feng Daolun spoke deeply about his path from young teachers to academic leaders, encouraging young teachers to have autonomy and self-discipline, make clear personal development plans, actively participate in scientific research work, and cultivate a new generation of students, while not forgetting their own responsibilities.
Deputy Secretary Dong Chaoqun, as a mentor, emphasized the special mission of ideological and political educators and encouraged everyone to continuously improve their professional cultivation, extensive knowledge, diligent thinking, listening attentively, continuous improvement of personal comprehensive quality, and become a guide for the healthy growth of students.
Chairman Liu Boyang reviewed the development process of the school's mentoring and pairing and its outstanding contributions to the development of the school, and stressed its important value as a platform for mutual assistance among teachers.
Young teacher representatives Sun Yu and Lei Mengyu shared their career development, detailed how to better carry out teaching and research work, do a good job in student management, and how to improve their own experience. Young teachers Zhang Wenbing, Fu Zheng, Meng Xuanzhen and so on actively spoke, shared their personal improvement experience, and demonstrated the style and strength of the young generation.
This activity not only provided a platform for young teachers to communicate and learn, but also enhanced their confidence and sense of responsibility for the development of the college. The College will further improve the training mechanism for young teachers, promote the improvement of the overall teaching and research level of the college, and help young teachers grow faster and better.
