At the beginning of the event, He Heng, secretary of the Youth League Branch of the Master of Materials, led the participants to study the basic knowledge of the Constitution and understand the definition, basic principles and importance of the Constitution. Through the review of the amendment to the Constitution, we realize that the Constitution is the fundamental law of the country, the general constitution of governing the country, and the centralized embodiment of the will of the Party and the people.
In the constitutional case study session, the branch invited Miao Yuchun, a student representative of the 7th CIIE Shanghai Arbitration Association Shanghai Trading Group from the 24th grade Law School, to explain constitutional knowledge to the students from a professional perspective. He introduced the top ten constitutional cases in China in 2023 and selected the most classic and most valuable case of constitutional law research in the past 20 years, The Legal Affairs Committee conducted a constitutionality review on the restriction of the close relatives of people involved in crimes, which triggered the students' deep reflection and in-depth understanding of the importance of protecting citizens' rights and limiting the power of state organs.
The activity specially set up the Constitution knowledge prize question and answer session, aiming to stimulate the students' enthusiasm for learning the Constitution knowledge through interactive means. The atmosphere at the event was warm, and everyone enthusiastically raised their hands to answer questions and actively participated in the knowledge competition. The questions covered the history of the Constitution, the basic principles and the rights and obligations of citizens. In the process of answering the questions, the students not only consolidated the basic knowledge of the Constitution, but also deepened the understanding and memory of the provisions of the Constitution, and improved their own legal literacy.
Learning the Constitution is not only about words, but also about expressing and spreading the spirit of the Constitution with creativity. The students actively participated in the creative bookmarking process of Leaves for paper, Writing the Constitution. Each student received a unique leaf as a material for their creation. On this fallen leaf, the students copied a favorite constitutional provision as a bookmark. In this way, the spirit of the Constitution is integrated into the daily life of the students. Every time you use these bookmarks, you will be reminded of the importance of the Constitution and your legal responsibilities.
Finally, the students shared their feelings about the activity, saying that the activity not only enhanced their awareness of the rule of law, but also enhanced their respect and understanding of the Constitution. Shan Hongrui said that through this activity, he deeply felt that the Constitution is not only a law, but also the core spirit of our country and society. Niu said that making bookmarks made her realize that the spirit of the law can be spread through art, which made her feel that the Constitution is closer to our daily life.
The successful holding of this theme day activity further promoted the popularization and publicity of constitutional knowledge, enhanced the students' concept of rule of law, and contributed to the construction of socialist rule of law culture. Let us work together to vigorously carry forward the spirit of the Constitution and be disseminators and practitioners of the Constitution!
