December 3rd is the birthday of Mr. Tang Wenzhi, the pioneer of higher navigation education in China. Recently, the young teachers and students of the College of Marine Science and Engineering came to Taicang, Jiangsu Province, the hometown of the old dean, to follow the footsteps of the sages, feel the humanistic feelings of Mr. engineering to serve the country, and pursue the initial dream of maritime power 600 years ago in the anchor ground of Zheng He's seven voyages to the West. He Haibo, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the College of Marine Science and Engineering, full-time counselors Lei Mengyu, Xu Ling, Meng Xuanzhen and outstanding student party members and student cadres participated in the practical education activities.
Under the leadership of Teacher Zhou Lixia, the representative inheritor of the intangible heritage of Tang Diao in Taicang City, the teachers and students walked into the Tang Diao Study Institute to understand the origin of Tang Diao and the life of Tang Wenzhi. Stepping into an antique courtyard, the bronze statue of the old school president and the eight striking characters of Chongde, integrity, heavy writing and fitness came into view. This is not only the teaching idea advocated by Tang Wenzhi, but also the teaching idea advocated by Tang Wenzhi. It was also a personal accomplishment that he admired all his life. Through the copies of calligraphy works and photos, an old man determined to save the country by industry and education emerged in front of his eyes, and also inspired young students to have a sense of mission and responsibility for the cause of shipping power.
Tang Tone is a reading grammar created by Mr. Tang Wenzhi on the basis of the original Jiangnan intonation tone combined with the theory of Tongcheng School. Through the length and height of the intonation voice, people can have a clearer understanding of the syllables, qi pulse and spirit of the article, so as to connect the Wenge with personality. Young teachers and students learn and experience together with Mr. Zhou. To further understand the essence of Tang tone of seeking qi by sound and sound following words, I experienced the charm of intangible cultural heritage.
Under the leadership of Lu Ping, an outstanding alumnus and the first female pilot of the Yangtze River, the young teachers and students also walked into Liuhe Ancient Town, the ancestral home of Mr. Tang Wenzhi, visited Rujing Bridge, and explored the anchor ground of Zheng He's seven voyages to the Western seas, where the dream of becoming a maritime power began 600 years ago. Strolling in Taicang Pilot Base to further understand the pilot culture and history of the Yangtze River, teachers and students watched the pilot industry publicity film named Pilot together, understood the important role of pilots in assisting the smooth operation of water transportation, and intuitively felt how pilots, as the first person on the water national image, exercise pilotage sovereignty on behalf of the country. Provide pilotage services for ships entering and leaving the port to ensure safe entry and exit of ships.
Face to face with the young pilots, on the national Marine industry employment, career planning and other topics launched a warm exchange. The young maritime students feel the noble mission of the Yangtze River pilot to introduce the world to the Yangtze River, and lead the Yangtze River to the world and the spirit of the original heart such as Pan and perseverance, and more firmly strengthen the professional ideal and the original mission of the country.
