In order to help ethnic minority students in our college better plan their career path, clarify their own development direction, and enhance their job search competitiveness, the College of Marine Science and Engineering recently held a thematic symposium in the one-stop community service space. Dong Chaoqun, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the College, representatives of ethnic minority students and relevant counselors attended the meeting.

Deputy Secretary Dong Chaoqun analyzed the current employment situation of ethnic minority students, analyzed the overall employment situation and market recruitment situation of 2024 graduates to the students, and encouraged the students to prepare for job hunting in advance under the increasingly severe employment situation, change their identities and roles as soon as possible, seize the employment opportunities under the new business mode, and concentrate on job hunting. At the same time, Deputy Secretary Dong also shared and communicated with ethnic minority students who chose to take the postgraduate entrance examination, encouraging students to clarify their goals and carry out practical actions as soon as possible.

At the symposium, the students discussed warmly, exchanged with each other, and further communicated with the relevant teachers. In the future, the college will collect students' job-hunting puzzles and problems, invite experts and alumni to share career experience, and design a more targeted career planning system that meets the characteristics of ethnic minority students, so as to further improve the employment quality of ethnic minority graduates.
