Zhang Qitong, a student of Transportation Safety and Environmental Engineering, shared his views on the issue of How to do research for graduate students in the field of environmental science, stressing that graduate students should read a lot of academic works before writing papers, consolidate the theoretical foundation of the discipline, and advocate adhering to the five-word policy of fighting, cutting, grinding, sticking, and constant to create excellent academic articles. Dr. Cao Zheng has provided a valuable study guide for postgraduate students in three aspects: the goal and mentality of postgraduate study, methods and strategies, and academic and dissertation writing points. At the same time, he stressed that the research of engineering disciplines should be based on practice and lead practice, and problems should be found in practice to reflect the distinctive temperament of The Times. Liu Yan, a student of Materials and Chemical Engineering, shared the idea of literature reading with the topic of Talking about the method of reading literature. He pointed out that first, we should read the works of famous writers diligently, second, we should adhere to the problem-oriented reading, and third, we should pay attention to classic papers and grasp the epoch-making of theoretical development. Water Conservancy engineering student Chen Xingyu, with the title of There is a Way, Academic research and academic norms, started from the concept of academic misconduct, and jointly discussed the basic path and academic norms of historical research with the students, and stressed the common problems in academic papers. Material He Heng classmate introduced specific steps of academic planning with the title of Doing academic planning and enjoying 'Open life'. She encouraged students to set goals as early as possible, make specific plans, and reasonably plan their time to produce high-quality research results.
This lecture hall on Academic Innovation and Academic Ethics is one of the series activities of the School of Marine Science and Engineering's Academic Style Construction Month 2024.
