To further promote career education and employment guidance, enhance college students' professional identity and career planning awareness, and guide them to establish a correct view of talent, employment and career choice. On the afternoon of November 20, 2024, the College of Marine Science and Engineering held the second National College Students' Career Planning Competition. Mr. Dong Chaoqun, Deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Mr. He Haibo, secretary of the Youth League Committee, Mr. Lu Yanhua, director of Materials Science and Engineering, and all instructors served as judges.
At the beginning of the competition, Mr. Dong Chaoqun, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the College, delivered a speech. Career planning, he says, is crucial to students' personal growth. It is hoped that this competition will stimulate students' self-cognition and career exploration ability, and lay a solid foundation for their career development. It is hoped that students will treat the competition with full enthusiasm and rigorous attitude, hone their professional skills, make career plans, and bravely pursue their dreams.
The competition was divided into two tracks: growth track and employment track. 22 contestants successively showed their well-prepared career plans to the judges through PPT presentation, focusing on target positioning, self-cognition, academic status, industry analysis, internship experience, path planning and other aspects, showing a good spirit and a good vision for the future. After each contestant's presentation, the judges asked questions one by one and gave pertinent opinions and suggestions.
The competition aims to help students explore themselves deeply, enhance their professional identity, clarify their career direction, and develop practical career development plans and put them into practice. It is believed that in the near future, these Marine scientists with dreams and courage to explore will forge ahead on the road of growth and contribute their own strength to the Marine power.
