  On the afternoon of November 11, the famous hydrodynamics expert Professor Francis Noblesse and his delegation came to visit the hospital. Mr. Feng Daolun, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and president of the College, and Mr. Liu Jiahao and Mr. Guo Jiamin received the guests.

  President Feng Daolun welcomed the guests. He introduced the general situation of the school and its research results, development status and future planning in related fields, emphasizing the efforts made by the school in promoting the development of disciplines, personnel training and scientific research innovation.

  Professor Francis Noblesse shared his cutting-edge achievements in the field of hydrodynamics research, and expressed his appreciation for the school's research work in related fields, and also put forward some constructive opinions and suggestions.

  The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on research topics of common interest. During the exchange, the two sides discussed potential cooperation opportunities, including the development of joint scientific research projects, personnel exchange and training programs. This exchange not only helps to improve the scientific research level of our institute in related fields, but also lays a solid foundation for further expanding international cooperation.

  Professor Francis Noblesse is an internationally recognized expert in hydrodynamics and a former Senior Fellow at the David Taylor Model Basin (DTMB) in the United States. After 31 years at DTMB, he served as a chair professor at the School of Shipbuilding, Marine and Architectural Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University for 9 years (2013-2022). Professor Francis Noblesse has made many important academic contributions and research achievements in the field of Marine and ocean engineering hydrodynamics research, especially in the development of potential flow theory, analytical methods and numerical calculation methods of ships and Marine structures in still water and waves, and has outstanding attests and significant international academic influence. Professor Francis Noblesse has published more than 200 academic papers in important academic journals and international conferences of naval and ocean engineering, and has received many international academic awards and honors.
