From October 25 to 27, the 2024 World Top Scientists Forum was held in Lingang Center, and 22 volunteers from the school actively participated in the volunteer service of the Dingke Forum. From the formal training on October 23 to the closing of the forum on October 27, the five-day volunteer service contributed the youth power to the successful conclusion of the entire forum, highlighting the outstanding style of Haida students.

Volunteers are responsible for forum operation coordination, media demand response, one-to-one consultation and guidance in Chinese and English, material management and distribution, logistics support, and on-site maintenance of sub-forums. The outstanding performance of the volunteers won high praise from the organizing committee of the Forum, among which Luo Ruilai and Xu Hang, two volunteers from the College of Marine Science and Engineering, played a leading role in demonstrating the volunteer spirit of dedication, friendship, mutual assistance and progress with practical actions, and were selected among the ten outstanding volunteers and were commended by the organizing committee.

The volunteers said that they had the honor to participate as young volunteers, close contact with top scientists at home and abroad, and personally appreciate the spirit of scientists, not only understand the forefront of the development of world science and technology, but also broaden their vision of personal growth, and strengthen their ideals and beliefs of science and technology to serve the country and become a maritime power. It is necessary to take practical actions to let youth glow with brilliance in fulfilling their responsibilities for Chinese-style modernization.
