With the continuous development of Internet technology, network fraud occurs frequently, and fraud methods emerge in an endless stream. In order to improve everyone's awareness of fraud prevention and protect the property safety of teachers and students, on October 16, our college invited Zhou police officer of Lingang University Police Station and Liu Zhen teacher of Security Department to carry out an exchange meeting on the theme of fraud prevention with all professional and part-time counselors of the college. The meeting was chaired by Dong Chaoqun, deputy secretary of the Party Committee.
By explaining the real cases of students being swindled recently, Officer Zhou deeply analyzed the common words and means of scammers. He pointed out that fraudsters usually use students' immature psychology and lack of understanding of information to carry out fraud through online games, social software and other channels. For students to prevent fraud methods, Officer Zhou and the teachers also carried out a discussion to reduce the incidence of cases.
Liu Zhen, the teacher of the security Department, said that the school security Department has made great efforts, but in the context of today's endless fraud methods and continuous renovation, there are still fraudsters using students' curiosity, greed for small and cheap psychology and unfamiliar with new technologies and new applications, to design a variety of elaborate fraud, which is impossible to guard against. Through in-depth analysis of the characteristics of campus telecom fraud, methods and the common characteristics of victims, more effective preventive measures are proposed.
Dong Chaoqun, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the College, concluded that anti-fraud work is an important part of the college's security education. All counselors should integrate anti-fraud education into their daily work, and widely promote anti-fraud knowledge through various channels such as late name, class meeting, publicity bar, network platform, etc., to ensure that every student can master basic anti-fraud skills and lay the first line of defense against fraud.
