On the afternoon of September 25, the College of Marine Science and Engineering held the undergraduate education teaching audit and evaluation work promotion meeting. Wang Weiyi, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Feng Daolun, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and president of the college attended the meeting, and the secretary of the teaching branch, department head and director of the experimental center attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Vice President Liu Jiahao.
Secretary Wang Weiyi pointed out that the evaluation will be a combination of self-evaluation and expert review, a comprehensive investigation of teaching resources, teaching effects, student development and other aspects of the content. This overhaul is not only a response to feedback from experts in the pre-evaluation, but also an opportunity for the College to innovate itself and pursue excellence. He called on the whole school to work together, every faculty member must be a master of the attitude to welcome the evaluation work, to the rectification work as a breakthrough, to promote the fine undergraduate education teaching audit and evaluation work.
Dean Feng Daolun stressed that personnel training is the primary function of a university, and undergraduate education is in a fundamental position in the personnel training system. Education teaching audit and evaluation is the key link to promote education reform and improve teaching quality. It is hoped that through this meeting, an in-depth analysis of the review and evaluation of the rectification content will be further developed, and specific rectification measures will be further developed to ensure that the review and evaluation of undergraduate education and teaching will be fully completed.
At the meeting, Liu Jiahao focused on analyzing the problems raised by the experts in the pre-audit evaluation on September 14. The problems focus on the need to adjust the PPT of the college report, the lack of OBE concept display of engineering certification, and the need to further standardize teaching archives and laboratory work. He pointed out that these problems are directly related to the core of undergraduate education teaching audit and evaluation work, and must be paid great attention to and rectified immediately.
Finally, the leaders of the college and the heads of departments (centers) conducted in-depth exchanges on key issues such as rectification rules, responsibility allocation, timetable and so on.
