On September 8, the College of Marine Science and Engineering successfully completed the 2024 graduate student orientation work and warmly welcomed 197 new graduate students from all over the world.
Li Zhipeng, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and vice president of the university, came to the orientation point of the college to guide and care about the orientation work, kindly sympathize with the orientation volunteers of the college, and understand the content of the orientation process, volunteer service and security, etc., and affirm the meticulous and thoughtful preparation work of the college.
The volunteer team, composed of both new and old students, provides enthusiastic and meticulous service for the registration of new students. Due to the full preparation of the early training, the orientation work is in good order. Volunteers guided the way, carried the luggage and helped the new students complete the registration process smoothly.
This year, the orientation of graduate students continues to adopt a new students meet new students approach to help new students build social networks among their peers more quickly. At the same time, senior volunteers help freshmen answer questions and solve doubts. Through the communication and interaction between different grades, the campus culture and learning experience are effectively transmitted, so that freshmen can adapt to college life faster.
