The About Shanghai Shanghai Cultural Experience Week activity of the College of Marine Science and Engineering is coming to an end, and the Shanghai City Walk activity is especially popular among young students. The event attracted more than 30 interested students to participate enthusiastically, and they strolled in the city streets to explore the landmark buildings and enjoy the charm of Shanghai culture.

The three well-designed routes not only connect a number of historical and cultural landmarks in Shanghai, but also let the participants feel the unique charm of Shanghai culture during the walk. From the Jiaotong University subway Station, the students of Route 1 enjoyed the bustling scene of Huaihai Middle Road, the elegant style of Wukang Road, and the quiet and solemn of Jing 'an Temple Square. Along the way, they seemed to travel through time and space, and felt the historical changes and modern style of Shanghai. The team of Line 2 starts along the Qufu Road subway station, passes through the old streets and alleyways such as Xizang North Road and North Suzhou Road, and finally arrives at the Bund View Avenue and Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. They looked at the scenery of both sides of the Pujiang River on the Waibadu Bridge, and felt the bustle and bustle of the city on the Nanjing Road Pedestrian street. Along the way, they deeply experienced the charm and vitality of Shanghai as an international metropolis. The students of Route 3 chose a more literary route, starting from Dapuqiao Subway station, shuttling through the streets such as Ruijin Second Road and Jianguo Middle Road, to explore the red memory and literary atmosphere of Shanghai. They visited the Revival Park, walked through the historic streets, and finally arrived at the site. Along the way, they not only enjoyed the literary style of Shanghai, but also revisited the heroic deeds of revolutionary martyrs in the walk.

After the activity, the students said that the City Walk activity made them have a deeper understanding of Shanghai culture. During the walk, they not only appreciated the beautiful urban customs of Shanghai, but also felt the historical heritage and cultural charm of the city. Red culture, Shanghai culture and Jiangnan culture jointly shaped the core of Shanghai culture in the new era, and the urban character of openness, innovation and inclusiveness cultivated every young student living and studying here. At the same time, this activity also enhanced the friendship and cooperation between students, so that everyone more cherish the time together.
