On the afternoon of April 25, with the strong support of the school logistics center, the Date with Shanghai Green Dream Workshop series, the Shanghai special snack making experience - butterfly cake met in the second canteen of Haixin Lou. The event attracted the participation of many teachers and students of the School of Marine Science and Engineering, and they explored the secret of making the butterfly cake, a classic Chinese pastry.
Butterfly cake, as one of the representative dim sum in Shanghai, is loved by people for its unique shape and crispy taste. Its production skills are not only the fine processing of food ingredients, but also the inheritance and development of traditional culture. Each butterfly cake carries the history and culture of Shanghai and is an indispensable part of Shanghai culture.
At the event, the teachers and students stood in front of the operating table after washing their hands, and the pastry master patiently explained the production process and skills of butterfly cake, from waking up, rolling, folding to baking, every step was meticulous. The teachers and students listened with great interest and actively asked questions to interact with each other while listening carefully. Under the guidance of the master, we began to make, and cut and plate the folded pie crust according to an even size, and every action appeared so serious and focused. After a while, the prototype of a butterfly pastry will be neatly presented in front of everyone.
