At 1:30 on March 27, the College of Marine Science and Engineering carried out peer psychological mutual assistance training activities in the COSCO Lecture Hall, and more than 100 psychological committee members of the college participated. The training invited Dong Haitao, director of the school's mental health education and counseling center, and Sun Hanfen, head of the school's psychological counselor and second-level psychological counseling station, to deliver the concept of relationship dialogue, expand the thoughts of psychological committee members to help others, and improve the effectiveness of dialogue in psychological education work.
At the beginning of the activity, Teacher Dong Haitao carried out a detailed analysis of the verbal and behavioral signs that psychological crisis is prone to occur, pointed out the importance of dialogue, appropriate repetition, and positive response, and combined with relevant cases to let everyone further understand how to intervene in order to minimize the harm caused by psychological crisis around people.
Then, starting from the three keywords of curiosity, response and empowerment, he explained how to carry out dialogue. After understanding the key elements of dialogue, Teacher Dong Haitao invited some psychological committee members and teachers to sit in a circle to carry out dialogue demonstration. Starting from the current psychological confusion, everyone spoke one after another and shared their own views and perceptions. An interactive way to show how dialogue can be applied to psychological committee work.
Peer psychological assistance is an effective psychological support method to promote the healthy growth and development of students and promote the communication between students, and dialogue can empower individuals and promote connection. This training activity taught the psychological committee members effective psychological listening, feedback and support skills in dialogue, so that the students felt the charm of dialogue, and got a positive response and praise from the majority of students. The College will continue to carry out various forms of peer psychological mutual assistance training activities to provide students with more comprehensive and professional psychological support and help.
