College of Ocean Science and Engineering visited Changshi (Shanghai) Ship Design Co., LTD

In order to further broaden the employment channels of graduates, enrich job resources, and promote high-quality and full employment of graduates, on January 23, 2024, Wang Weiyi, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Ocean Science and Engineering, Guo Jiamin, vice president, Xiong Zhixin, director of shipbuilding and Marine Engineering, and Hou Xianrui, a professional teacher, visited Changshi (Shanghai) Ship Design Co., LTD. We launched a special campaign to visit enterprises and promote employment. General manager Shi Jiangang, Design Department Minister Wu Xiaoming and hull supervisor Lu Jinhua and other people attended the reception.

 

Wang Weiyi introduced the basic overview, professional setting, teaching and research, social services and other conditions of the college, and expressed the hope that enterprises can give full play to the advantages of technical resources in personnel training, actively provide support for professional construction and technical guidance, deepen cooperation in project research and development and collaborative education, and better achieve mutual benefit and win-win situation. Zhixin Xiong gave a detailed introduction to the projects of the scientific research team of the Department of Shipping and Ocean Engineering in the fields of structure, fluid and intelligent ship handling systems.

 

On behalf of the enterprise, Shi Jiangang expressed sincere welcome to the visit of the College of Ocean Science and Engineering. He introduced the company's projects in standard ship type, equipment and facilities and independent research and development of energy-saving devices in detail, hoping to continue to strengthen communication and collaboration, provide support for the development of shipbuilding disciplines and the college's talent training, and hope that the college will actively transport high-level talents for the company and promote the collaborative development of both sides.

 

The participants had in-depth exchanges on the practice base of shipbuilding and ocean engineering and the cooperation of scientific research projects. The College of Ocean Science and Engineering will continue to carry out the work of visiting enterprises and expanding posts, and strive to achieve high-quality employment for graduates.
