The College of Ocean Science and Engineering visited the Greater China headquarters of DNV

In order to further broaden the employment channels of graduates and fully promote the high-quality employment of graduates, on January 19, 2024, Wang Weiyi, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Ocean Science and Engineering, Xiong Zhixin, director of shipbuilding and Marine engineering, and Hou Xianrui, a professional teacher, visited the Greater China headquarters of DNV and carried out a special action to visit enterprises and promote employment. Maritime consulting general manager Zhao Xiaodong, technical center training manager Bu Ping and personnel manager Wang Qian attended the reception.

 

Wang Weiyi introduced the basic overview of the college, professional Settings, teaching and research, social services and other situations, and conducted in-depth exchanges on personnel training, scientific research cooperation and other aspects, and expressed the hope that the establishment of a long-term mechanism with DNV to jointly promote the high-quality development of shipping industry and create greater growth space for graduates.

 

Zhao Xiaodong, on behalf of the company, expressed his sincere welcome to the visit of the College of Ocean Science and Engineering. He introduced the organizational framework of the enterprise and the development strategy at this stage in detail, hoping to continue to strengthen communication and cooperation, provide support for the development of shipbuilding disciplines and the training of talents of the college, and hope that the college can actively transport high-level talents for the company and promote mutual benefit and win-win situation. Wang Qian introduced the company's salary and benefits, training system, and promotion channels.

 

The participants exchanged views on the curriculum setting, practical training and employment guidance of the ship and ocean engineering major. The College of Ocean Science and Engineering will continue to carry out the work of visiting enterprises to expand their posts, and strive to explore and practice the win-win situation of achieving high-quality employment of graduates and the introduction of high-quality talents by enterprises, comprehensively improve the quality of talent training and the ability to serve social development, and escort the graduates of 2024 for more adequate and higher quality employment.
