In order to deeply understand the needs of employers, optimize the talent training mechanism of the College, and further expand the employment channels of graduates, on January 3, 2024, Dong Chaoqun, Deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Ocean Science and Engineering, Shao Wei, director of the Department of Port, Channel and Coastal Engineering, and Lv Baoyi, director of the Department of Environmental Engineering, visited Shanghai Port and Shipping Industry Development Center. Ding Yuefeng, deputy director of the Center, extended a warm welcome to the delegation from the College of Marine Science and Engineering.
Deputy Secretary Dong Chaoqun introduced the discipline construction, faculty construction, young teacher training, student management and career planning of the college, hoping to establish a cooperation mechanism for applied research projects in port construction, ecological environmental protection and other aspects based on the characteristics of port and navigation, promote teaching reform and scientific research reform, and achieve a win-win situation. Director Ding Yuefeng introduced the basic situation, organizational structure and research frontier of Shanghai Port and Shipping Industry Development Center, and expressed the hope to further anchor the meeting point of cooperation, carry out more extensive and deeper cooperation in personnel training, integration of industry, university and research, and help students grow and become talents.
