On the morning of December 27, Sun Chao, director of the Information Resources Department of the Information Research Institute of the Ministry of Emergency Management, came to the College of Ocean Science and Engineering to carry out research and scientific research cooperation and exchange. Feng Daolun, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and President of the College, attended the meeting, Liu Jianghong, head of the scientific research team of the Department of Safety Science and Engineering, Wang Jinhui, head of the program, Jiao Yu, and Xu Tao, secretary of the Party branch, attended the exchange meeting.
At the meeting, President Feng Daolun extended a warm welcome to Director Sun Chao and introduced the general situation of the college, discipline development, professional construction, student employment and other aspects. He expressed the hope that through this exchange, the two sides can clarify cooperation intentions, accurately docking scientific research cooperation points, condense scientific research tasks, jointly declare and complete scientific research topics, and jointly contribute to the cause of national security and emergency response.
Director Sun Chao introduced the development history of the Information Research Institute of the Department of Emergency Management, and focused on the direction of safety big data, safety information and intelligence, put forward scientific research needs, and said that there is a good cooperation with the safety research team of Shanghai Maritime University, hoping to promote the implementation of cooperation topics in the next step.
Jiao Yu, Director of the Department of Safety Science and Engineering, introduced the basic situation and scientific research direction of the safety discipline. The participants and Director Sun Chao conducted in-depth and warm communication and discussion, and the two sides carried out in-depth discussions and exchanges on domestic and foreign accident case resources, safety big data, data mining, and cooperation points of scientific research topics.
The Information Research Institute of the Ministry of Emergency Management is a scientific research institution directly under the Ministry of Emergency Management. Founded in 1959, it has four advantages, namely, laws and regulations policy research, strategic planning research, urban safety research and energy security research, and provides decision support and technical support for the Ministry of Emergency Management. The Ministry of Information Resources is the second-level unit of the Information Research Institute, which has long been committed to the promotion and scientific popularization of disaster prevention, reduction and relief and production safety, and carries out research on data mining and information processing technology of emergency management, production safety and energy industry, big data analysis and database construction.
