In order to fully implement the "Three guiding Opinions", sort out the research direction of the scientific research team, focus on the development of the college's disciplines, and promote the high-quality development of the college's scientific research, on the afternoon of December 27, 2023, the College of Ocean Science and Engineering held the "Seminar on the Research Direction and Key Research Tasks of the Scientific Research Team". Wang Weiyi, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Feng Daolun, Deputy secretary of the Party Committee and president, Guo Jiamin, deputy president, Chen Xiangyan, director of the Discipline Planning Office of the Development Planning and Quality Management Office, heads of the academic team of the college, heads of departments and party branch secretaries attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Professor Feng Daolun.
This meeting invited Professor Xu Bin from Tongji University, Professor Mei Guoxiong from Zhejiang University, Professor Feng Chuanliang from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Professor Han Zhaolong, etc., to conduct "inquiry, pulse, and prescription" on the research direction and key scientific research tasks of the research team of the school.
The meeting also heard the reports of the leaders of the scientific research teams on the promotion of the key scientific research tasks in 2023, the training of young teachers, the output of scientific research and the work plan in 2024.
The participants studied the current development status of the college's scientific research team, the problems faced and the solutions. They respectively put forward constructive suggestions for the high-quality development of the college's scientific research team from many aspects, such as team cross-integration, strengthening organized scientific research, optimizing the talent team, improving the ability of scientific research and innovation, visiting enterprises and institutions to understand the needs of the industry.
Dean Feng Daolun hopes that each team will attach great importance to and strictly implement the "Three guiding Opinions", draw opinions or suggestions from experts, sort out the research direction and key scientific research tasks of the team, and actively promote organized scientific research. At the same time, Dean Feng Daolun also said that the College will fully absorb the valuable suggestions of teachers, actively build incentive mechanisms, coordinate various resources, optimize various rules and regulations of the college, and make every effort to protect and promote the high-quality development of scientific research work of the college.
Secretary Wang Weiyi made a summary. He pointed out that focusing on the direction of scientific research is an inevitable requirement to serve the major national strategies and industry needs, and has political significance. In this regard, as the pillar college of Marine science groups, we must take responsibility and tap the maximum potential of each team through organized scientific research. Scientific research platform is the best stage for the growth of young teachers, and it is also one of the important ways to fully implement the "Three Guiding Opinions". Each team must think about how to gather young teachers and display their talents, and all majors must attach importance to and pay attention to the development of scientific research teams to set up a good platform for young teachers. The teaching and labor Party branch must give full play to its organizational force and leadership, go out, please come in, understand the needs of the industry, and create opportunities for scientific research teams to improve their ability to overcome difficulties.
