In order to do a good job in 2024 National Natural Science Fund project application, further improve the quality of application and improve the funding rate, on the afternoon of December 20, the College of Ocean Science and Engineering held the 2024 National Natural Science Fund Application guidance meeting. Professor Feng Daolun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the College, and Professor Fan Runhua, director of the Academic Committee of the College attended the tutorial meeting. Many teachers of the college attended the meeting, and the meeting was presided over by Professor Guo Jiamin, vice president of the College.
Professor Feng Daolun encouraged teachers to first attach importance to the application of the fund from the ideological perspective, and plan the work plan of each time node, and promote and implement the writing of the application in strict accordance with the time node. At the same time, the Reform Measures of the National Natural Science Fund in 2024 will be understood and read, and I hope that teachers will focus more on basic research on major national strategies and the needs of social and economic development.
Based on his own experience in successfully applying for National Natural Science Foundation projects, Professor Fan Runhua gave corresponding suggestions on application writing, application fields and matters requiring attention in application. At the same time, I hope that all teachers should deepen the research direction and humbly solicit the revision suggestions of academic peer experts.
The meeting also listened to the application report of the participating teachers, Dean Feng Daolun provided very rich and practical experience guidance for the different situations of the participating teachers, and answered the questions of the participating teachers one by one.
The meeting strengthened the consciousness and initiative of the participating teachers, the participating teachers have benefited a lot, and have a new experience on how to write the National Natural Science Fund application, and strive to make new breakthroughs in the establishment of National fund projects in 2024.
