On the afternoon of November 22, our college held a special psychological salon activity - Facing setbacks and embracing ideals in the Marxist theme Library. This activity aims to help students have the courage to face setbacks in the tense study life, and gain the ability to embrace ideals and beliefs.
This activity invited Jin Liyu, teacher of Customs and Communication Committee, Zhang Wenbing, teacher of Port Channel and coastal Engineering, Party member of the College, and Party member of the graduate student, Party member of the college, presided over by Sun Hanfen, school psychological counselor.
The activity kicked off in a relaxing and pleasant warm-up game. Ms. Sun Hanfen first led the students to play a warm-up game called Wind Blowing. In order to let the participating students integrate into the activity as soon as possible, Teacher Sun invited the losing students to sing, quietly narrowing the distance between everyone. After the end of the warm game, we found that everyone was still interested in the wind blowing game, and once again carried out activities in the form of wind blowing. In this game, the students who lost need to share their understanding of the ideal and their personal experience of frustration in reality.
In the course of the activity, the special guests listened carefully to the speeches of the students, and after the speeches of the students, they gave their own suggestions as experienced people to help the students better pursue their ideals. Through the way of games, students and teachers have gradually narrowed the distance, forming a good atmosphere.
Then we entered the feeling and sharing session. In order to let the students better understand the meaning of ideals and beliefs and the meaning of real ideals, and have the opportunity to talk about their hearts, Teacher Sun divided the students into three groups in the form of drawing lots. Each group will be led by a special guest. In the group discussion, the students shared their expectations for the future and their frustrations in reality. While talking about personal ideals, the group members discussed ways to realize personal ideals and overcome setbacks, forming a communication platform full of mutual support atmosphere, providing each other with valuable experience and suggestions.
At the end of the activity, the students once again formed a big circle to share their feelings about the psychological salon. The students have said that they have gained a lot and understand that the real ideal needs to be realized through struggle and overcoming setbacks, and everyone is more determined to pursue their ideals.
