On November 4, the postgraduate Academic Forum Port and Marine Engineering Safety and Disaster Prevention was held at the University. The forum was hosted by the Shanghai Education Commission and jointly hosted by the Graduate School of Shanghai University and the College of Ocean Science and Engineering. Heads of relevant departments and heads of colleges, teachers and student representatives attended the forum.
The forum invited Yu Guoliang, Professor Emeritus of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Liu Jie, Director of the Scientific Research Department of Shanghai Estuarine and Coastal Science Research Center, Professor Wang Gang, selected of Hohai University National Youth Talent Program, Wang Zhenkui, selected of Zhejiang University National Youth Talent Program, Gu Fengfeng, Director of Data Simulation and Hydrological Information Technology Laboratory of Shanghai Estuarine and Coastal Science Department Liu Gaofeng, researcher of the Research Center, and other experts and scholars made special reports covering many aspects of port and Marine engineering safety and disaster prevention. It includes the importance of sediment rheology in issues related to sediment behavior, the ecological practice and exploration of the Yangtze River Estuary waterway, the research and application of non-static hydrodynamic high-performance numerical model, the research of the overall buckling theory model of the interlayer pipe, the automatic monitoring of Yangtze River Estuary waterway maintenance and the intelligent prediction technology of maintenance volume, the response of residual current and flux models to large-scale waterway projects and their influence on waterway sedimentation .
The forum contains 6 academic sub-forums, and the participating graduate students participate in academic exchanges through a combination of online and offline.
The Forum provides a platform for graduate students to have an in-depth understanding of port and Marine engineering safety and disaster prevention, and effectively improve their understanding and insight in the research field by listening to reports from experts and scholars and communicating with graduate students in the same field.
A total of 85 papers from Shanghai Maritime University, Tianjin University, Harbin Engineering University and other universities were included in this forum. It covers six topics: port and Marine geotechnical engineering, port and Marine engineering structural safety and durability, water resources regulation and water environmental pollution control, port and Marine hydrodynamic engineering theory and application, smart port and Marine engineering, and Marine safety and disaster prevention and mitigation technology.
