The graduating students of the College of Ocean Science and Engineering carried out the theme activity of "Relieving Pressure, Holding the Red Line" academic integrity education and academic pressure relief

In order to strengthen the construction of academic integrity of graduate students in the graduating class, and also to ease the academic pressure and psychological burden of graduates, from October 22 to 24, the graduate students of the College of Ocean Science and Engineering held the theme of "Relieving Pressure, holding the Red Line" academic integrity education and academic pressure relief activities, calling on the majority of graduate students to strengthen their mission responsibility. Adhere to academic integrity, resist academic misconduct, while improving their psychological ability to resist pressure and frustration, develop good academic norms and habits, and establish correct scientific moral concepts.


In this theme activity, all majors first organized all graduate students to carefully study the rules of the Ministry of Education on the identification of academic misconduct, and further analyzed the typical cases of academic misconduct in recent years, taking the case as a reference and strictly discipling themselves. Only with a rigorous and realistic scientific attitude, keeping the "bottom line" of academic integrity, not touching the "red line" of academic misconduct, being down-to-earth and seeking truth from facts, can we achieve true learning. This activity calls on the majority of graduate students of our college whether it is scientific research, or the way of people, only the "honesty" reflected in the face, the "letter" in the heart, and the establishment of correct academic values, in order to play the "efficiency card" of life.


In the stage of academic stress relief activity, two sections were set up, namely "emotional trash can" and "happy gas station". The graduating students participating in the activity were encouraged to write their worries, pressure or unhappiness during the graduation thesis writing and research on the post-it and put it into the "emotional trash can", and receive a warm blessing in the "happy gas station". Many students even wrote down positive words and posted them on the poster.


Through this activity, we found an opportunity to express our hearts and relieve psychological pressure, and found courage and strength from the blessings of other students. The study of academic integrity makes me more understand the profound connotation of scientific research integrity, and deeply realize that academic can not tolerate any falseness, we must be honest, academic integrity, abide by academic norms as the goal, and take Chongder and cultivation as a conscious pursuit, cherish wings, and do responsible scientific research.
