The College of Ocean Science and Engineering held a lecture on the "Three Guiding Opinions" of Shanghai Maritime University

On the afternoon of October 18, the College of Ocean Science and Engineering invited Wang Yunhu, deputy director of the Academic Affairs Office, to give a lecture on the Three Guiding Opinions of Shanghai Maritime University, and all the faculty and staff of the College of Ocean Science and Engineering participated in the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Wang Weiyi, secretary of the Party Committee of the College.

Wang Yunhu made a clear and comprehensive explanation of the Shanghai Maritime University Discipline Development Guidance, Shanghai Maritime University Organized Scientific Research Implementation Guidance and Shanghai Maritime University Undergraduate Specialty Focused Characteristics Construction and Development Guidance recently issued by the university from the aspects of background significance, specific content and work requirements. He said that the scientific research team of the College of Ocean Science and Engineering needs to further focus on the Marine field in order to promote the high-quality development of the school, make the discipline more refined and stronger, and finally realize the ideal discipline layout of our school. Through the full cooperation between departments, mutual coordination, cultivate a good scientific research atmosphere, optimize the allocation of resources, and focus on the main characteristic areas of the school.

Wang Weiyi thanked Wang Yunhu for his explanation and sharing. He said that the faculty and staff of the school must strengthen their learning, unify their thinking, concentrate their efforts, and further implement the three guiding opinions. Around the three guidelines, each profession should focus on the goal of green and safety, do fine and strong, and promote professional high-quality development. The research team should focus on the strategic needs of the country and the needs of the core technology of the industry.
