In order to help freshmen start their college career as early as possible, make a reasonable university plan, look forward to the future career prospects, and adapt to the new college life faster, recently, the College of Ocean Science and Engineering launched a class of 2023 freshmen career planning enlightenment education lecture. Mr. Lei Mengyu, the director of the College of Employment, gave a lecture, attended by all freshmen.


At the beginning of the lecture, Mr. Lei explained the importance and necessity of career planning from Why do career planning?. At the same time, SWOT analysis and MBTI analysis are introduced to guide students to think deeply about the direction of personal career, set goals in college, and define college plans based on goals. Then, through the analysis of different employment destinations of 2023 undergraduate graduates, Teacher Lei pointed out that the process planning of different ends was different, and told everyone that they should evaluate themselves from academic results, scientific innovation competitions, campus practices, and social practices, and guide students to establish a scientific understanding of themselves. Finally, Mr. Lei passed a fishbone chart of undergraduate career planning, hoping that students can plan early in the four years of college life, plan early, based on learning, start with the end, and take the initiative to practice, laying a good foundation for future career development, and finally shining a sword.
