Under the careful preparation of all teachers and students, the orientation work with unique HIke characteristics was successfully completed in an orderly manner.
At 9 am, Song Baoru, Secretary of the Party Committee of the University, Lu Jing, President of the University, Li Zhipeng, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and vice president of the university came to the registration point of the college to guide and care about the orientation work, and kindly sympathize with the freshmen who are going through the enrollment procedures and the busy teachers and students volunteers at the registration point to understand the progress of the orientation work and the freshmen check-in. The volunteers are encouraged to provide comprehensive, warm and thoughtful services to freshmen and their parents.
Wang Weiyi, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Feng Daolun, deputy secretary of the Party Committee, and Dong Chaoqun, deputy secretary of the college, came to the registration point to kindly sympathize with the staff, and went into the freshman dormitory to have in-depth exchanges with the students, encouraging everyone to integrate into the university life as soon as possible, study hard, strive for success, highlight the style of Marine science, and sent a love gift package to the students in need.
The volunteers are dedicated to their duties, and they can be seen in the registration points, dormitory buildings, and all corners of the school, carrying luggage, guiding the way, solving problems, and one-to-one docking with new students to better help new students handle the registration procedures, so that new students can feel the warmth of the family in advance. The College gives full play to the innate advantages of freshmen staying for graduate school, and in the way of welcoming freshmen, the distance between new students is shortened in advance and the cohesion is enhanced.
In order to better help parents of new students understand the development and professional future of the college, and get familiar with the requirements of university study life and talent training in advance, the college held a meeting for parents of new students of grade 2023. The school leaders communicated with parents face to face, patiently and carefully answering parents' concerns, firmly professional and confident, and calmly responding to new changes, which was widely welcomed by freshmen and parents, and the scene interaction was warm.
In order to let freshmen better integrate into the new environment and new life, Student Union of the College of Ocean Science and Engineering launched the Date with the Sea welcome card lottery activity. Freshmen drew carefully prepared gifts through small games such as taking photos and punching cards, writing blessings and recording messages, leaving a good memory for freshmen who just arrived at school.
Approaching the Teachers' Day, the New Year greeting activity also incorporated the element of gratitude to the teachers. The new students of the College of Ocean Science and Engineering sent their grateful blessings to the teachers who accompanied them along the way, and thanked the teachers for their piloting and help on the road of their growth.
