In order to enrich the carrier of labor education, further strengthen the labor consciousness and labor ability of young people in the new era, and promote the construction of an all-round education system. On July 7, 2023, the youth from the Botany Department of the College of Ocean Science and Engineering walked into the Lingang Conservation Institute, sent the fruits of their labor to the staff of the conservation Institute, shared their love, and brought fresh and delicious food to the old people.
In the hot summer, the young people of the planting department gathered early at the gate of the college to meet the labor education practice with full spirit. After arriving at the labor education practice base, the planting young people quickly started picking. They carefully observed the growth of small tomatoes, eggplant and corn, while skillfully picking mature agricultural products, with their own hands and sweat, harvested a basket of fresh full of small tomatoes, purple black eggplant and golden full corn.
Subsequently, the young people went to the Lingang Conservation Institute without stopping, and they handed the small tomatoes they planted by themselves to the staff of the conservation Institute and gave the fruits of their labor. The staff of the conservation Institute expressed their sincere gratitude to the students of the College of Marine Science and Engineering. They said the care and warmth meant a lot to the elderly people in the nursing home, not only nourishing their bodies, but also warming their hearts.
This labor practice activity not only let the planting young people personally experience the process of crop growth, learn family planting knowledge, but also cultivate teamwork and communication skills, but also feel the joy and joy of labor in the process of sharing and gratitude, and vividly understand the value and significance of labor.
