On the afternoon of June 25, the College of Ocean Science and Engineering held a safety work meeting. Wang Weiyi, secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Feng Daolun, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and President of the college attended the meeting, and the directors of the department, the director of the experimental center and the relevant staff of the college office attended the meeting.
At the meeting, President Feng Daolun organized everyone to carefully study the document spirit of the Notice of Shanghai Education Commission on carrying out the Safety Production Month activity in the municipal education system in 2023 and the Notice on doing a good job in the safety work during the 2023 summer vacation, and proposed to strengthen the safety education of teachers and students, strengthen the safety awareness of teachers and students, and effectively do a good job in summer vacation safety prevention. We should do a good job in daily management of students who stay in school during holidays. For the laboratory that is not used in the summer vacation, it is necessary to do a good job of four defenses and four passes and paste seals to close. For the laboratory that needs to be used during the summer vacation, it is necessary to make a good record of the laboratory use plan, clarify the safety responsibility person, strictly manage and do the corresponding safety prevention work.
Secretary Wang Weiyi stressed that it is necessary to establish a red line awareness, all departments, all centers and student affairs offices should actively organize teachers and students to participate in safety education, especially students who are detained in the laboratory to do experiments, must strictly abide by the safety management regulations of the laboratory to ensure safety.
Before the holidays, the college team will also conduct a comprehensive security inspection of the laboratories, student dormitories and offices to ensure a safe and smooth summer vacation.
