On the afternoon of May 9th, Professor Wang Xiaohui, head of the Civil engineering program of the College of Ocean Science and Engineering, went to China Communications Shanghai Harbor Engineering Design and Research Institute, a joint training base for industry-education integration, and held a dissertation defense meeting for civil engineering and water conservancy joint training graduates Ren Wenjie, Xue Bowen and Li He.
The defense committee is composed of enterprise leaders, enterprise mentors and campus mentors. Wu Feng, vice president of CCCC Shanghai Harbor Engineering Design and Research Institute, is the chairman of the defense. The committee members are composed of Zhuo Yang, director of Wind Power Institute of CCCC Shanghai Harbor Engineering Design and Research Institute, Shang Meitao, director of Shuiyun Institute of CCCC Shanghai Harbor Engineering Design and Research Institute, Professor Wang Xiaohui, Professor Shao Wei, Associate Professor Chao Zhiming and Teacher Guo Wenyun of Shanghai Maritime University. The defense secretary is Ms. Gu Xiyan from Shanghai Maritime University.
At the defense meeting, the three joint graduate students reported to the defense committee from the aspects of topic selection background, research content, research methods and research conclusions. The defense committee member reviews and questions the thesis one by one, points out the existing problems in the thesis, and puts forward suggestions for modification and improvement. The defense committee member gave guidance to the three graduate students, and the three graduate students made detailed answers to the questions raised by the defense committee member. Finally, after the defense committee made an overall evaluation of the thesis and defense of the graduate students, it was unanimously agreed that the three joint graduate students passed the dissertation defense, and the thesis defense of the joint graduate students was successfully completed.
This is the first time for the three graduate students of civil hydraulic engineering to conduct in-depth production and education joint training with the engineering institute of Shanghai Harbor Engineering Design and Research Institute of China Communications Corporation. The program and the enterprise attach great importance to the joint training, and the training process of thesis proposal and writing is completed in the enterprise, which is also strongly supported by the graduate school of our school. In the follow-up work, the program will continue to maintain a good cooperative relationship with the enterprise, further improve the production and education integration collaborative education mechanism, and cultivate high-quality applied talents of engineering technology.
