School-enterprise cooperation for development, collaborative education spectrum new chapter. In order to further promote the integrated development of industry and education, promote the organic combination of education chain, talent chain and industrial chain and innovation chain, improve the degree of matching between the training mode of postgraduate students and social needs. On the afternoon of April 7, Jin Yiwen, Senior Manager of Human Resources Operation in Greater China, Chen Zhe, Senior Manager of Analytical Science in North Asia, and Li Chen, expert of recruitment management in Asia Pacific visited our university. Feng Daolun, president of the College of Ocean Science and Engineering, Dong Chaoqun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Guo Jiamin, Vice President, and Lu Yanhua, director of the Department of Marine Materials attended the school-enterprise cooperation exchange meeting. The meeting was chaired by Dong Chaoqun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the College.


President Feng Daolun extended a warm welcome to the delegation from SABIC Greater China Region, and briefly introduced the basic information of graduate enrollment and training of the school, as well as the basic research achievements and research directions of each major of the school. He said that Shanghai Maritime University is a multi-disciplinary applied research university featuring shipping, logistics and ocean, and the College of Marine Science and Engineering closely focuses on the ocean. In terms of research, both the university and the enterprise have their own unique advantages, hoping to form complementary advantages under the cooperation of both sides, and open a new model of integration of industry and education.


Ms. Yiwen Jin, senior Manager of Human Resources Operations at SABIC, thanked the college for its hospitality and gave a brief overview of SABIC's company. She said that SABIC Shanghai R&D Center is committed to long-term cooperation with universities to jointly cultivate student talents with innovative ability, professional background and professional quality. To this end, the company specially formulated the NOVA Xingyao Internship Program to provide students with a professional enterprise research and development operation platform. In the process of internship, we can overcome technical difficulties together and improve professional knowledge. At the same time, combined with the advanced research theories of colleges and universities, we can jointly promote and cultivate students' applied research ability.


During the exchange, Mr. Chen Zhe, Senior Manager of Analytical Science in North Asia, introduced the basic situation of SABIC Technology Innovation Center to the teachers and students and welcomed them to visit. Li Chen, an expert in recruitment management in the Asia Pacific region, shared many interview skills with the students from the perspective of an HR. Afterwards, the students raised many questions about employment and interview to the leaders of SABIC Company. Managers Jin Yiwen, Li Chen and Zou Lingyun gave detailed answers to the students' questions.


After the meeting, Yanhua Xiang, Director of the Department of Marine Materials, and Tao Liu, director of the Department of Materials and Chemical Engineering, led SABIC and his delegation to the Marine Materials Scientific Research and Test Center for exchange.
